How to schedule a car inspection
1. Access the Korea Transportation Safety Authority Cyber Inspection Center website and log in with a public certificate.
> Go to the Korea Transportation Safety Authority Automobile Inspection Center website
2. In the Automobile Inspection Reservation menu, click View and Reservation for Inspection Vehicle.
3. Select the type of vehicle for which you would like to schedule inspection.

4. Enter your car registration number 3 and the first 6 digits of your resident registration number.

※ The automobile inspection fine is 40,000 won if the inspection period has passed within 30 days of the due date. In addition, from the 31st day, a fine of 20,000 won is added for every three days, and a fine of up to 600,000 won may be imposed.5 If the inspection is not continued, the vehicle will be suspended and the license plate number will be revoked in accordance with the Automobile Management Act. It may result in disadvantageous disposition, such as permanent detention.
Eligibility for fee reduction
Fee reduction is only implemented at Korea Transportation Safety Authority inspection stations or on-site inspection sites. After selecting the fee reduction target, enter the required information and click the Apply Reduction button. The automobile inspection fee reduction is limited to non-commercial automobiles, and jointly owned automobiles refer to automobiles registered in the name of the representative owner.
