This post explains how to apply using the MG Insurance actual expense claim app. In the case of MG Insurance, there is no app of its own that can claim actual cost insurance. So, many MG Insurance subscribers, including me, are claiming actual expenses through fax or email. However, you can claim actual expenses from MG Insurance using the app using the method provided in this article. I also continue to bill actual expenses using this method.
First of all, you must prepare various documents before applying through the MG Insurance actual expense claim app.
These documents are commonly required when claiming actual cost insurance, and each insurance company may require additional documents.
If you have previously brought the MG Insurance actual expense claim preparation documents, you can file an actual expense claim using the method below. MG Non-Life Insurance’s actual expense claim app is Kakao Pay. If Kakao Pay is not installed on your smartphone, please install the app.
If you have installed Kakao Pay on your smartphone, you can file an insurance claim following the procedures below.
When you run Kakao Pay installed on your smartphone, the Kakao Pay main screen will be displayed as shown above. In this state, please run the ‘All’ menu located at the bottom right.
In the overall menu, move to the ‘Hospital Billing’ menu under the insurance menu. Please note that in this menu, you can also apply for other life insurance and non-life insurance companies in addition to MG Insurance.
If you have prepared the documents to attach, run the ‘Take a photo and claim immediately’ menu. If you have not prepared the documents, you can apply using the ‘Find My Hospital and Claim’ menu. However, since there are not many hospitals and clinics that currently support this function, if the hospital is not found after viewing the menu, you must prepare documents and apply through the ‘Take a photo and claim immediately’ menu.
If you ran the ‘Take a photo and claim immediately’ menu in the previous step, the terms and conditions menu required to agree to the service will be displayed as shown above. Please proceed with the insurance claim agreement process for the submitted documents by clicking the ‘Agree to all terms and conditions of service’ button.
Enter the resident registration number of the person making the insurance claim. If information that is different from your information is exposed, you must edit it in ‘Kakao Pay>My Information’. Your resident registration number information will not be saved, so you do not need to worry.
When applying through the MG Insurance actual expense claim app, only you or your children (under 14 years of age) can apply. If the claim is for someone over the age of 14, the claim can only be made via existing fax or email.
Select the MG Insurance Company from the list of insurance companies to file a claim. For your information, please note that in addition to MG Insurance, claims for insurance payments from many non-life insurance companies and life insurance companies can also be made through the Kakao Pay app.
Enter the reason for filing an insurance claim. If the cost is within 100,000 won, you can enter a very short reason. If you are applying for an injury, it is better to describe it in detail.
Take a photo of the documents you prepared earlier and upload the photo to the app. If it is a small amount, you may attach a photo that only confirms the fact that the amount and action taken by the medical institution were exposed, but in the case of hospitalization or surgery, a more precise photo quality is required.
