It can be opened using a call from a counselor, but self-opening is really convenient, so I recommend self-opening.
If you already have a phone ready, you can buy USIM in advance, if you are in a hurry, you can buy USIM at a convenience store, delivery service is provided directly from KT M Mobile, and it is sold on various sites such as Naver Smart Store.
In my case, I tried to use the delivery service right away, but when I entered the address, it was not supported, so I had to receive it by courier.
I recommend you to buy it from Naver Smart Store, not KT M mobile site.
Naver gives more than 1,000 won in reserves, so it has the effect of buying it a little cheaper.
If you wish to share data, you can purchase an additional USIM.
So I bought two normal USIMS, one for iPhone and one for iPad.
1. Affordable plan for data sharing on affordable phones
Not all KT M mobile plans can be data sharing, but there is a separate plan that can be data sharing.
This is mainly the data plan.The cheapest plan you can see on the ticket is 19,800 won.
It’s a plan that gives you a lot of data capacity, so there’s a bit of a price range.However, it is very cheap compared to the plans of KT, SKT, and LGU+, which are regular carriers.
2. Comparison of data-sharing KT and affordable phone plans
The KT plan I used was LTE data selection 65.8, and if I gave 10GB and ran out of data, I would provide 2GB every day, and if I ran out of it, there was a speed limit of 3Mbp and unlimited calls.The monthly fee is 65,890 won, and if you make a rate agreement, you will be charged about 50,000 won.
All of the most similar affordable phone KT M Mobile’s plans are 11GB+, and through partnership, Genie Music, Naver Paypoint, Gift Show, etc. are provided.I chose the Naver Pay affiliate plan, and the fee is 35,200 won, but I actually give 5,000 won for Naver Pay points, which is about 20,000 won cheaper than KT’s LTE data selection 65.8 plan, which is the most similar to 30,200 won.And 1GB more basic data.

5. Self-opening of affordable phones
If you bought USIM, it takes about 10 minutes to open it by yourself.It will take some time.
This is a self-opening screen.They say it’ll be done in five minutes, but if you actually try it, it’ll take a little longer.[Laughs]
You just need to put the information in the box, and you need a credit card or Naver certificate because of the identity authentication process.
When entering USIM information, there is a procedure to scan your ID card.In addition, you can choose to pay by account transfer or credit card, and if you want to pay by credit card under another person’s name, you must apply with your credit card information first and then call 114 customer center to apply separately.
After self-opening, they easily applied for data sharing.
