KEPCO Residential Energy Cashback is a system that started in 2022 when energy prices continued to rise to raise awareness of energy consumption conservation and reduce the burden of electricity bills. It is an energy-saving program that provides cashback when residential electricity users reduce their electricity usage compared to before.
KEPCO Residential Energy Cashback is applicable to ‘all citizens who use residential (household) electricity, and if electricity usage is reduced by 3% or more compared to the average monthly electricity usage of the previous two years, the savings rate is capped at 30%. However, some users are excluded from the application, so please check.

If you apply using the method that is more convenient for you, KEPCO will automatically calculate the savings rate and pay the cashback without any additional action. However, until last year, cashback was paid in cash if you applied, but from this year, 2024, only the method of deducting the electricity bill will be possible.
