카카오톡 멀티프로필KakaoTalk Multi Profile is a feature that allows you to use up to 3 KakaoTalk profiles on your account. First of all, a profile is a means of expressing yourself and others on KakaoTalk and an image of yourself that is conveyed to others. These profiles can be expressed in a variety of ways using various images, videos, backgrounds, music, and text.
Multi-profile is a feature that allows up to 3 KakaoTalk profiles to be used per account. The background to the emergence of these multi-profiles is the difference in relationships between people.
The most representative example is a sole proprietorship. If a self-employed person uses KakaoTalk to conduct business, the profile becomes an advertising tool. If you use this profile as an existing single profile, the same profile will be visible regardless of your relationship with me, that is, friends, family, or customers.
However, if you use multi-profile, you can set different profiles for each friend or person stored in KakaoTalk. In other words, in the case of a self-employed business, the profile shown to customers can be set differently from the profile shown to their acquaintances and family.
The benefit of this feature is the convenience of the relationship. This means that you can selectively and limitedly limit your information provided through your profile. This can also be understood as a privacy protection function under another name.
To create a KakaoTalk multi-profile, you must launch KakaoTalk and click Create in ‘My Multi-Profile’ at the top.
When you click Create Multi-Profile, new multi-profile settings will appear as shown above. Unlike existing profiles, this is to decorate profiles to be added individually.
If a self-employed person is creating a new profile for his or her own business, he or she can write information about his or her business in the profile’s photo and status message.
If you have completed decorating your profile previously, click on Manage Friends for the image and select the target for the newly created profile. If you select friend management at this stage, you will only be able to check the newly set profile, not the existing profile, on the other person’s KakaoTalk.
For reference, newly added KakaoTalk friends are set to forward the existing profile. If you want to switch to a newly created profile and sleep with a new target, you can add them through friend management.
As mentioned earlier, up to three multi-profiles can be created per account. There is one account per phone number. If a person has two phone numbers, they can create two KakaoTalk IDs and create three profiles for each ID, for a total of six multi-profiles.
Newly created profiles can be deleted at any time. To delete, run KakaoTalk and click on the multi-profile you want to delete > then click on the menu in the upper right > select delete.
You can also use multi-profiles in group chat rooms (group chat rooms). The setting method is the same as specifying a general group.
