The support project for child rearing expenses for adolescent parents was first launched as a pilot project in 2022. In the case of young parents of teenagers, they were able to receive support as part of the single-parent family support project, but there was no way to receive support when both parents were present. There are many cases where I am young, have low income, and have to study at the same time. Now it seems that the way to receive a little support has been opened. Young parents under the age of 24, please check the contents carefully and apply for the subsidy.
It is aimed at parents of teenagers under the age of 24 who are raising their children. Support is provided to households with both parents required to be included and earning less than 60% of the standard median income. Please refer to the table below for 60% of the median income in 2023.
On a semi-annual basis (January 1st and June 1st), both parents must be 24 years of age or younger. If you are applying in the first half of 2023, you can apply if you were born on or after January 1, 1998, and in the second half, you can apply if you were born on or after July 1, 1998. If even one person is over 24 years of age or is not actually raising children, it is not eligible.
※ If you are a single parent, please check the information on the subsidy for raising children for single-parent youth families.
