1. Eligible for support
– Among those with severe disabilities under the Disability Pension Act who are registered over the age of 18, support is provided if the recognized income amount is less than the amount determined and announced annually by the Minister of Health and Welfare.
* Article 2, Paragraph 1 of the 「Disabled Persons Pension Act」, Article 2 of the Enforcement Decree of the 「Disabled Persons Pension Act」, criteria for determining the degree of disability (Chapter 5. Criteria for determining the degree of disability for receiving a pension for persons with disabilities)
– Those who meet the following occupational pension requirements are excluded from receiving disability pension.
* Occupational pension recipients and spouses such as public officials, private school teachers and staff, military personnel, special post office employees, etc.
– However, those who meet the following conditions are eligible for disability pension:
* Linked retirement pension recipients and their spouses who have been employed for less than 10 years
* 5 days after receiving lump-sum disability payment, lump-sum disability payment for non-official work, lump-sum disability payment for non-official work, lump-sum retirement survivor pension, lump-sum retirement survivor pension (if received in lieu of bereaved family pension due to death in the line of duty, etc., or selected in lieu of duty-related survivor pension) Occupational pension recipients and their spouses whose years have passed
2. Service contents
– Monthly basic benefit paid from ages 18 to 64
– 307,500 won from January to December 2022 (based on the highest amount without reduction)
* If both spouses receive basic benefits, a 20% reduction is paid to each basic benefit amount.
* Reductions are paid in stages to prevent income reversal.
· The current amount is cut in increments of 20,000 won according to the difference between the selection standard amount and the income recognition amount.
· Subject to excess reduction: (recognized income + basic benefit amount) >= selection standard amount
· In case of a couple receiving benefits, those eligible for excess reduction: (recognized income + reduced basic benefit amount for couple)>=selection standard amount
* Those over 65 years old are converted to basic pension, but basic salary is not paid.
· Basic benefit is paid until the month before the month in which you turn 54 years old, basic pension is paid starting in the month you turn 65 years old (separate application required)
* For recipients of previous disability allowance and national basic livelihood security, the couple reduction is applied, but the excess reduction is not applied.
* For recipients of special basic benefits (recipients of occupational pension), both the couple reduction and excess reduction are applied.
– Those eligible for supplementary benefits are those who are recipients of basic livelihood security (livelihood/medical/housing/educational benefits) among disabled pension recipients over the age of 18, those in the next lower class, and those exceeding the next lower class.
· Basic livelihood security recipients (general household / livelihood, medical care): 80,000 won for those under 65 years old, 387,500 won for those over 65 years old
· Recipients of security facilities (general / livelihood, medical care): 0 won for those under 65 years old, 0 won for those over 65 years old
· Recipients of security facilities (special benefits / livelihood, medical care): 70,000 won for those aged 65 or older
· Second lower class (general / housing, education): 70,000 won for those under 65 years old, 70,000 won for those over 65 years old
· Second lower class (special benefits / housing, education): 0 won for those under 65 years old, 140,000 won for those over 65 years old
· Second-tier household price (general): 20,000 won for those under 65 years old, 40,000 won for those over 65 years old
*However, the pension amount may vary depending on individual circumstances.
