It is very easy to find a button to sign up for a site or application on the Internet or mobile phone, but on the other hand, it is difficult to find a button to unsubscribe or cancel. Today I’m going to post about how to delete your Instagram account.
You probably know that you can’t delete your account from the Instagram app, but I thought it would be more convenient to do it from the app that I always access, so I’ll tell you how I found out how to do it.
First, open the Instagram app and go to My Page at the bottom right. Then you will see three lines in the upper right corner, click on it to go to settings.
Go to Help > Customer Center at the bottom.
Enter ‘delete’ in the search bar and click Delete Instagram account in the first line of results. Then, help will appear according to the environment you are connected to. I have an Android phone, and if I want to delete my account, I can’t do it through the app. It tells me to use a computer or mobile browser. However, if you click on the ‘Android app help’ section, Android app help, computer help, iPhone app help, and mobile browser help will appear. Double select Computer Help.
We’re almost there now. The hidden account delete button has appeared. Click Delete Hidden Account. Select the reason you want to delete your account.
Once you select the reason why you want to delete your account, you will be presented with a button to enter your password and click to delete your account. Finally, a pop-up window will appear asking “Do you want to delete your account?” and if you click OK, your account will not be deleted, but there will be a one-month grace period. If you do not log in during that period, your account will be deleted. If you want to use your account again, you can log in before the end of the month.
I tried logging in again. A screen similar to the photo above will appear. If you don’t log in by the day before the end of the month, your account will be deleted. If you change your mind and want to use it again, you can click Maintain Account. When I clicked Maintain Account and logged in, I was able to confirm that the photos were not deleted and were still stored there.
To delete or deactivate your account on the web page, the help tells you to enter your Instagram address and go there. When you access the Instagram homepage from your cell phone, there are times when you are repeatedly connected to the app, so it is simple to enter the help page address directly.
You can do this by directly entering the customer service center address, help.instagram.com.

If you want to delete it, you can do so from this page in the same way as deleting it from the app above.
To deactivate your account, log in to Instagram in an Internet window, click your profile picture at the bottom left > Edit profile > Scroll down to the bottom of the screen, click Temporarily deactivate my account, select the reason you want to deactivate, and click your password to deactivate. It’s possible. If you want to reactivate it, simply log in and it will be activated without any message.
The cancellation, withdrawal, and deactivation methods are actually simple, but the buttons are extremely hidden. I hope this helps those who were unable to unsubscribe because it was difficult to find the button.
