What are the advantages of private certificates?
1. Non-face-to-face issuance is easy.
2. Authentication is easy. (Face recognition, biometric information such as fingerprint, PIN number, pattern use, etc.)
Wasn’t it difficult to memorize long and complex passwords with more than 10 characters and special characters for the public certificate password?
It was difficult to find the password each time.
3. There is no need to install unnecessary security programs.
It was really inconvenient, such as keyboard security programs, other security programs, and ActiveX, which are updated every time you enter the bank site from your PC, but you can easily authenticate with your smartphone.
4. The validity period is long.
In the case of an accredited certificate issued free of charge, the validity period was one year, but one year passed faster than expected, so it was inconvenient to renew or reissue each time.
Private certificates are usually valid for 2-3 years.
Should I delete the previously issued accredited certificate?
No!
The previously issued public certificate (joint certificate) can be used together until the expiration date.
In addition, since some public institutions do not allow the use of private certificates, it is recommended to keep the existing public certificates (joint certificates) for some financial transactions such as loans.
In Hometax or Government24, simple authentication using private certificates is supported, so you can log in.
As private certificates are superior in convenience and accessibility, their use in other public fields is expected to increase.
How to use joint and private certificates
The use of the joint certificate is not much different from the existing public certificate, so I will pass.

Which private certificate is good?
