가사 간병 방문 지원사업Expanding the target of the housework and nursing home visit support project to 70% of the median income
– Relaxing income requirements for users of housework and nursing home visit support –

The target of the housework and nursing home visit support project, which was available to the lower-middle class, will be expanded to 70% of the standard median income starting in February 2022.
– The Ministry of Health and Welfare (Minister Kwon Deok-cheol) will provide 24 hours or 27 hours of housework and nursing home visit services per month in the form of vouchers to low-income families who have difficulty in daily life and social activities.
– The target is under 65 years of age and includes severely disabled people with a median income of 70% or less, severely ill patients requiring treatment for 6 months or more (with a diagnosis from the past 3 months), patients with rare and incurable diseases, and families with children, grandparents, and single-parent families (legal guardian households).
– In addition, among medical aid recipients, those discharged from hospitals who are deemed to require case management due to long-term hospitalization will be provided with 40 hours of service per month for 1 year in the form of vouchers. – With the expansion of this project, the service recipient, the recipient’s relative or legal representative, and the social welfare officer (ex officio application) can apply for the housework/care visit support voucher service at the town/district/dong resident center under the jurisdiction of the recipient’s registered address.

1. Business purpose
– Supporting home care and nursing services for low-income families who have difficulty with daily life and social activities, thereby promoting stable living conditions for vulnerable families and creating jobs (’04~)

2. Support target
– Those who are under 65 years of age and in the 70% or lower standard median income bracket and who fall under the following categories and require home care and nursing services
* ① Severely disabled persons, ② Severely ill persons requiring treatment for 6 months or longer (those who are classified as severely ill as notified by the Minister of Health and Welfare, with a medical certificate issued within the last 3 months attached), ③ Persons with rare and incurable diseases (those who are classified as rare and incurable as notified by the Minister of Health and Welfare, with a medical certificate attached), ④ Children and grandchildren of single-parent families (legally protected households), ⑤ Persons under 65 years of age who are receiving medical aid and are discharged from long-term hospitalization case management, ⑥ Other persons with mild disabilities within the budgetary scope of the city, county, or district mayor Persons who are recognized as needing domestic and nursing services, such as persons with disabilities, long-term patients due to injuries, etc.

3. Service Contents
– (Application Period) All year round
– (Application Method) Apply to the town, township, or neighborhood resident center in charge of the registered address
– (Support Period) Existing recipients: 1 year from the date of eligibility determination (can be extended in 1-year increments through the city, county, or district reevaluation process). Among medical aid recipients, those discharged from long-term hospitalization case management are eligible for 1 year (cannot be extended)
– (Service Contents) Physical support, health support, domestic support, daily life support
– (Service Price) Differentiation of government subsidies based on time provided and income standards
