First, there are three main ways to back up KakaoTalk.
1) Full KakaoTalk backup (useful when uninstalling and reinstalling KakaoTalk) – All chat rooms and conversation contents within KakaoTalk. Capable of backing up photos, videos, audio, etc.
2) Backup photos, videos, and audio from specific chat rooms
3) Back up only conversation content (text) in a specific chat room

In this post, we introduce three methods.
If you need to back up only a specific chat room, you would want to literally back up only that chat room separately rather than reinstalling KakaoTalk.
1) First, enter the chat room -> Click on the three lines in the upper right corner.
* The backup target of this specific chat room is general 1:1 chat, group chat room, group chat room, open chat room, chat with me, self-KakaoTalk, etc.
Applicable to all chat rooms.
2) When you click the three lines in step 1, a sidebar will appear on the right, and click the [gear] icon at the bottom.
-> Then, [Export conversation history] appears at the bottom, click it.

3) Then, the [Export conversation history] window will pop up. There are two options to choose from, but [Send text only] is simpler.
If you proceed with [Save all messages to internal storage], the file will be saved on your smartphone, and you can download it
This is because it must be connected to a PC via a cable and accessed through a complicated path to copy.
On the other hand, [Send text only] can be received directly online, such as by email.
4) When you click [Send text only], you must select the SNS to receive the file.
I recommend Gmail. If there is something else that is more convenient, you can use something else. This is just a process to receive the text.
