The way to check your passport number using KakaoTalk is to use the KakaoTalk Wallet electronic certificate service. However, in order to use this service, you must first register as a member of Government 24.
If you are not registered with Government 24, please sign up for Government 24 first.

How to check passport number on KakaoTalk
To check your passport number, search your passport information certificate in your KakaoTalk wallet electronic certificate.
Through the KakaoTalk Wallet electronic certificate service, you can receive not only your passport number but also various certificates.
① First, select Wallet from the entire KakaoTalk menu.
② After selecting the electronic document, select Issuance of electronic certificate.
③ Select the passport information certificate from the list of electronic certificates available for issuance.
④ Agree to the Terms of Use and proceed with identity verification.
⑤ Click Apply.
⑥ Touch Check Passport Information, select your passport, and apply.
⑦ Then, a passport information certificate will be issued immediately so you can check it.
The passport information certificate contains information such as name, resident registration number, passport number, issuance date, passport expiration date, type, etc. in Korean and English.
